An Investment for Future Students
Eva Cornelius traveled the world (India, Philippines, Korea, and Hong Kong) as an international representative of Gospel Light Publications. She also served under David C. Cook Publishing Company in the greater Chicago area, training Sunday school teachers and aiding pastors in Christian education because she recognized the need for more church leaders to be trained in Christian education. She also met pastors in Hong Kong who had come to Trinity from China for further education. Their work impressed her.Eva decided to help provide scholarships for international students at Trinity by establishing a charitable trust through Trinity's planned giving program. Seventeen years later, at age 90, Eva is glad that she made the investment. Her trust continues to provide her with a steady income while she lives comfortably in a retirement community.
"More people should do this," she says. "I didn't realize what a great benefit this would be until now. I highly recommend this investment."
Eva remains passionate about the cause of Christian education. "Educating pastors and missionaries is so important," she says. "Pastors need training, and Trinity provides faculty who are great examples to them of what teaching is. They need those examples."
