Supporting Trinity Through the Years

Supporting Trinity Through the Years
Lloyd and Thedora Plowman first became familiar with Trinity in 1967, when as charter members of Park Hills Evangelical Free Church of Freeport, Illinois, they invited a singing group from Trinity to help out with the fledgling church's Sunday worship services. Lloyd served as Park Hills' first chairman, and the church hired a Trinity graduate as their first pastor. In 1978, the Plowmans moved to Fullerton, California, where they actively take part in the ministry of the First Evangelical Free Church of Fullerton.

Now great-grandparents who will celebrate their sixty-sixth anniversary this year, Lloyd and Thedora invested in a Trinity gift annuity. Besides recognizing the generous financial benefits of this life income gift, the couple knows that they are helping to support an institution that educates pastors, missionaries, and professionals who will influence the world for Christ.

"Even before we bought this annuity, we've been sending in regular gifts to the different funds, before Trinity College and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School became Trinity International University. We've been supporting Trinity through the years," says Lloyd. "Trinity is committed to hiring professors who stick to the truth of the Bible and doesn't compromise in that area, and I think it's important that students are grounded in that way."
